Friday: Take the Pre Test

It is time to take the full ACT exam, just like you would be taking it for real.

Taking the pre-test gives you a benchmark of where you stand with the ACT in regards of a score.

This score is also needed to complete your Pick-6 questionnaire.

Most importantly, the pre-test is so you get the feel of what kind of test it is, the type of questions, and the pressure of the time clock.

The more you practice, the better you will become. The more you practice reading, the more relaxed you will become, allowing you to comprehend and remember the material for each question.

Timers are included and do not have a pause button. Once you start, you are committed, just like taking it for real.

The times are as follows:

  • 45 minutes for English
  • 5 minute Break
  • 60 minutes for Math
  • 10 minutes Break
  • 35 minutes for Reading
  • 5 minute Break
  • 35 minutes for Science

TIMER RULES: As soon as the first timer ends, immediately start the Break timer.

As soon as the 5 minute break ends, immediately start the 60 minute timer for Math, and so on.

Do not waste any time before each timer. The goal is to mimic the actual test as close as possible.

So for the next 3½ hours, make sure you are free from any distractions such as your phone, siblings, parents, pets, tv, etc. (no background music either)

Make sure you have printed the exam and answer score sheet. Go here to print.

Or you can simply open the full test here. You can either use a printed answer score sheet or write down your answers on a sheet of paper.

Also have at least 2 sharpened No. 2 pencils, a sharpener, and a calculator.

When you are ready, start the timer below and begin.

When you are ready, you will press START and the timer will count down the entire test time, including all breaks.
